About Us

Shed Bonanza is the innovator of the outdoor storage house world! We're a full-service design and engineering company, proudly supplying Victorians with custom garden sheds, garages, carports, barns and other small outdoor storage units. Based in Melbourne, we're a family-owned business with almost 40 years' experience. 

Our History

The foundations of Shed Bonanza were laid back in 1979 by my parents, David and Yvonne Lloyd. While facilitating the move of a confectionary company, the owner suggested they lease his old premises. Having previous knowledge of the shed industry, they engineered a plan to utilise their expertise, and so became garden shed suppliers, manufacturers and installers. 

David had experience gained during his engineering apprenticeship at Vauxhall and his time working in Massey Ferguson's experimental division. An innovative thinker, he designed a unique welded centre connection and welded knee connection, which evolved into the Face to Face knee connection we use today. Yvonne too was forward-thinking, investing in a website to grow the business and present their ever-expanding product range to a wider customer base.  

In the mid-1990s, Shed Bonanza naturally progressed into the manufacture of garages, carports and barns. Solid relationships were established with trusted steel companies, which ensured they could continue to create top-quality outdoor storage structures and meet growing demand. 

What We Offer Today

Shed Bonanza is now in its second generation, with me, Owen, at the helm. Today, we offer a comprehensive service which includes everything from the design and sale of custom steel and timber structures for a wide variety of uses from Garden Sheds to Carports, Garages, American Barns, Farmsheds and even Light Commercial Industrial Structures. But what really sets us apart is our commitment to customer satisfaction; we help customers with building permits at no extra cost.
