Shed Bonanza was started in 1979 by David and Yvonne Lloyd. Since then more than 35,000 customers have put one of our buildings on their block, and it is still the same family behind it, with four showrooms you can walk into.
At Shed Bonanza, we believe in providing expert knowledge along with quality built sheds and garages to our customers.
Our history
Started in a shed, more or less.
- 1979David and Yvonne Lloyd start Shed BonanzaA Melbourne family business, selling sheds and garages to people who wanted more space and a straight answer about how to get it.
- The engineeringThe face to face knee connectionDavid engineered a stronger way to join the frame at the knee, where the wall meets the roof. It is still in our buildings today, and it is the reason our structures hold up in conditions that flatten lesser ones.
- Early onlineOne of the industry’s first websitesYvonne put the business online years before most of the trade thought it was worth doing. Nearly half a century later, you can still design your own garage on our website in 3D.
- TodayOwen Lloyd leads the businessThe next generation runs it now, from four showrooms across Victoria. Still a family business, still selling kits to people who want more space.

How we work
What you can expect from us.
You get a complete kit, engineered for your block, and a permit team with decades of experience and knowledge to assist you. We can also put you in touch with a concreter we have worked with for years.
Many of our customers are owner builders. Some put the shed up themselves, and most bring in a builder or trades. Or a registered builder we have worked with for years can take on the whole build. We are happy to help whichever way you go.
Permits are their own maze. Our permit team deals with councils, private building surveyors and title searches every working day, so you do not have to learn how.
Photos flatten everything. 4 showrooms across Victoria means you can walk into a real building, hold the colour chips, and see how tall three metres actually is.
